The Ladies' Night Anthology | Editor

Ladies' Night at Graham Cracker Comics was founded in 2012 as a monthly discussion group.  In 2013, we formed a collective of comic-making ladies from around the globe to start producing female-focused stories we felt were missing from the marketplace.  Today, we have 4 anthologies and 3 zines under our belt.

Our 5th volume, Sisters, is currently underway.  It will be published in the winter of 2017.  You can find us on Twitter, Instragram and Tumblr @GCCLadiesNight

In the Works:
International Girl Gang

In 2016, Ladies' Night given the opportunity to organize programming for the 44th Angouleme International Comics Festival via the Hoffman Estates Sister Cities Commission.  We responded by gathering representatives from four leading comics collectives to form the International Girl Gang.

The International Girl Gang hosted a series of feminist-focused events at the festival including an art exhibition, panels, and workshops.  We also launched our book - The International Girl Gang Encyclopedia.

We are currently working to develop comic event programming for 2018.

I'm Not OmniGirl

I'm Not OmniGirl was originally a 4-page story produced for IDW's Womanthology: Heroic omnibus, which featured DOZENS of talented ladies who make comics like Gail Simone, Renee de Liz and Anne Nocenti.

The artist, Megan Brennan, and I have decided to expand the story into a 3 issue mini-series to be completed by the end of 2016.  I'm Not OmniGirl is an all-ages tale as old as time - a superhero twist on the Prince and the Pauper, with robots, waffles and secret unicorns.

Divide & Conquer

I'm currently working on a book for McFarland Publishing about women in comics.  It will be published in 2018.

Bonnets at Dawn| Writer/Host

Bonnets at Dawn is a literary thunderdome!  A weekly podcast hosted by myself and Hannah K. Chapman where we compare and contrast the lives and work of Jane Austen and the Brontë sisters.  Episodes are available on iTunes and SoundCloud.

B.A.D. is also a book being crowdfunded on Unbound.  The book will combine our research, travel diaries and comics from the show.

You can also find us on Twitter and Instagram @BonnetsatDawn.

P.I. Jane | Writer

P.I. Jane is the girl detective series created by myself and Greg Sorkin in 2008.  It began as an award-winning tv pilot script, turned into  webcomic, and was picked up by Caliber Entertainment in 2016.

If you're a fan of shows like Veronica Mars, Buffy and The Middleman, that feature kick-ass, verbose, strong-minded females with a heavy dose of pop-culture references - this is up your alley!  You can start with the first strip here.
